Cedric and Ashlie : Connecticut Wedding Photographer

Cedric and Ashlie were married on New Year’s Eve. Is there any better way to the end the year than marrying your best friend? The wedding took place at the Nutmeg in East Windsor. The ceremony was in front of a fireplace which was just so cozy and perfect for a December wedding.

The Nutmeg has a beautiful room that is surrounded in bay windows. It is just perfect for photos.

The reception was so full of emotions. The matron of honor and best man both gave awesome toasts. Both the bride and groom danced with their grandparents. I absolutely loved watching their son get down on the dance floor. He has some great moves.

It was really an amazing day. Congrats Cedric and Ashlie!!!

Wesley and Jennifer : Connecticut Wedding Photographer

Back in November I met up with Wes and Jenn for their engagement shoot. Ever since then I have been looking forward to their big day. They are absolute naturals in front of the camera and a ton of fun. You can’t help but smile when you are around them.

Wes and Jen were married on Decemebr 10th and the day was perfect. It was cold, but not unseasonably cold for December which was great because we were able to head outside for some photos. My day started at Jenn’s parents home where the girls were getting ready. As you can see from the images below, Jennifer looked stunning. I don’t think she could have picked a more perfect dress for a December wedding.

The ceremony took place at Asylum Hill Congregational Church which is gorgeous inside. There were so many emotions and happy tears throughout the entire ceremony.

The reception was at the Hartford Marriott and started with the Chinese Tea Ceremony. It was so awesome to be a part of such a great cultural tradition. The rest of the reception was a blast. It’s one of those weddings where I want to put my camera down and dance with the guests. It really was an amazing day.

Congrats Wes and Jenn!!!

I loved this church. So beautiful inside!!!

It’s Mario Time!

My little guy recently turned 4. He has been asking for a Mario birthday party since… well probably since the day after his 3rd birthday. Now normally I’d just buy some Mario plates and party hats at the party store and call it a day. But, I found these mustache chocolate molds at the craft store and then all these ideas started to hit me. Star cookies… chocolate coins… toad cupcakes. I had a bit too much fun with it all. My days of themed paper plates and party hats are over!

Happy birthday Ry Guy! Hope you had a great day!!

I recently met up with Wes and Jenn at Elizabeth park for their engagement session. Everything about the day was perfect. It wasn’t too cold. The lighting was soft and beautiful. Add two amazing subjects and you end up with a perfect shoot! This session made me even more excited for their upcoming wedding. Wes and Jenn are absolute naturals in front of the camera and just a ton of fun.
