Firsts

This picture was taken five and half years ago… Five and a half years!!

It doesn’t feel like it was that long ago that I brought home my first sweet baby boy. I still remember the ride home from the hospital like it was yesterday. My husband was driving 30 miles an hour over the rumble strip on the highway. I sat in the backseat just staring at my little man. That’s how I spent most of the first few months, just staring at him and amazed that he was actually mine.

And now my baby just started Kindergarten. I guess this means he really isn’t a baby anymore. Everyone tells you it flies by, but you never really believe them. I feel like I am going to wake up one morning and he will be going off to college. Can someone please press the pause button??

Here Evan is on his very first day of Kindergarten! Five years later and I am still amazed that he is mine.

Abe and Colleen : Connecticut Wedding Photographer

I don’t even know where to begin with this wedding. There were so many unique aspects and little details that made this wedding one of a kind.

Colleen wore her grandmother’s dress, which her mother also wore. How awesome is that? And she looked gorgeous in it as well. All of the bridesmaids wore different dresses in all different shades of blue and different styles. It was all brought together by the maid-of-honor’s dress that included all the different shades of blue. Abe’s vest was so cool and I found out later in the day that Colleen’s mom actually sewed it for him. LOVE!

The ceremony began with a group of ballerinas dancing down the aisle. The rest of the ceremony was beautiful which included some amazing music and a powerful sermon.

The reception was a blast. Abe and Colleen’s personalities continued to shine through from the cutest cake topper I’ve ever seen to the most fun father/daughter dance ever. The guests were such a fun group and I’m pretty sure everyone made it out to the dance floor.

Congrats to Abe and Colleen! Your wedding was amazing!

Matt and Kelli : A Lily Lake Inn Wedding

I could easily describe this wedding in one word. Stunning. Beautiful. Emotional. Ok… that’s more than one. But seriously, I loved this wedding!

The ceremony and reception were at the Lily Lake Inn. I’ve done a wedding there in the past, but somehow forgot how beautiful the grounds are.

There were so many happy tears throughout the day. It was obvious both Matt and Kelli come from close knit families and even more obvious how in love Matt and Kelli are.

James and Katie : A Delaney House Wedding

Last October I met James and Katie. We met up at Mount Holyoke College for their engagement session and it ended up being one of my absolute favorites. The College is beautiful and James and Katie are just an awesome couple. I had been looking forward to their wedding for a while.

The ceremony was at a beautiful church in Monson, Massachusetts. It was two weeks prior to the wedding that a Tornado hit Monson. On my there I was amazed at how close the tornado came to hitting the church. Though surrounded by damage the church was left untouched. I think the symbolism of it was pretty amazing.

The entire day went off without a hitch. I don’t think one minute went by where Katie and James weren’t smiling. I am just so happy for the two of them!

Congrats James and Katie!    James and Katie had a honeybee theme which I loved. The colors were blue and yellow and they gave away these adorable little honey jars as favors.

Jared and Ashley : A Log Cabin Wedding

Jared and Ashley were married on June 4th, which I happen to think is an awesome anniversary. My husband I were also married on June 4th six years ago. It was so cool to spend my anniversary watching another marriage begin!

The day was perfect. Blue skies, not too hot. The Log Cabin is just stunning and we were able to get some spectacular shots at sunset.

Thank you to Kerri from Images with Kerr for helping me out!!
